auromere.com

Auromère is owned and operated by Sri Aurobindo Sadhana Peetham and our work is carried out by the Ashram members as part of their daily sadhana. Auromère imports and distributes books by Sri Aurobindo, the Mother, and their disciples, though we also stock other classical Indian literature, books on Ayurveda, natural healthcare, children’s books from India, cassettes and CDs of Indian music and sacred chanting, and photos of Mother and Sri Aurobindo.

Auromère additionally imports and distributes incense and Ayurvedic products from Pondicherry and other parts of India, including natural and cruelty-free toothpaste, mouthwash, soap, massage oil, shampoo, rejuvenating mudbath, neem balm, and lotion.

Golden Bridge Publications is a related venture that seeks to bring people in touch with the spiritual vibrations and beauty of flowers by creating and publishing especially lovely gift books, greeting cards, and calendars that feature exquisite and mystical flower photography and quotations.

The proceeds from Auromère and Golden Bridge Publications primarily support the maintenance, growth, and work of Sri Aurobindo Sadhana Peetham in Lodi, California, but also Auroville and other Sri Aurobindo centers in the U.S. and an Integral School in rural India.

Auroville International USA is a group of people in love with Auroville, a unique township in South India inspired by a remarkable vision of the future for humanity and for the earth. To support Auroville’s development, we work together to bring Auroville to the attention of sympathetic people and institutions. We publish a newsletter called Connect and an occasional emailed newsletter, eVolve.

Since our beginnings in 1971, we have evolved into an educational nonprofit organization managed by a board of directors. Our organization is one member of an umbrella group, Auroville International, that supports Auroville in many countries around the world.

Our purpose is to support the projects and development of Auroville, which is the first attempt anywhere to create a universal town where men and women of all countries can live together in peace and progressive harmony, above all creeds, all politics, and all nationalities. Besides channeling funds, we help those who want to visit or settle in Auroville. We think people want to know that there is a place like this on earth. And we hope you are inspired to collaborate with us.

Foundation for World Education

Margo MacLeod, secretary • secretary@FoundationForWorldEducation.org
FoundationForWorldEducation.org

The Foundation for World Education (FWE) allocates annual grants through disbursement from its endowment. We invite applications from individuals, programs, and groups acting under the auspices of an incorporated nonprofit organization that shares the vision of a transformed world envisioned by Sri Aurobindo and Mother. FWE provides a continuous stream of funding for projects in Auroville, the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, centers in the USA, and individuals here and abroad.

FWE holds an annual meeting in February focused on grant giving. Grants for any given year must be submitted by January 7 to be considered in the meeting. For full details regarding applications, please visit our website.

Since grant requests keep growing, FWE is able to fund only a portion of the worthy projects that are considered each year. Therefore, it seeks to grow in its ability to give grants by increasing the endowment. We welcome donations, bequests, long-term giving, and tax-advantaged estate planning. We also welcome the establishment of designated funds for areas of special interest. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation. Join us on the path, funding conscious evolution.

Aurohost

aurohost.org

Aurohost is a new website that facilitates personal connections between members of the Auro community. Its purpose is to provide a semi-secure way for Auro travelers to plan their journeys by connecting with Aurohosts in order to stay with them in their homes for short periods of time. The larger purpose is to foster relationships among Auroville-related individuals throughout the world.

As an Auro traveler admitted to the membership database, you would be able to select a country or countries and search for hosts as you plan your travels. It would then be up to you to initiate contact through email and arrange your stay if the host is agreeable and available for your visit.

Your host is expected to provide you with bed and breakfast. In most cases s/he will want to engage with you and offer other opportunities; but it may be that s/he has restricted time because of work or other commitments. Your host is expected to house you for a minimum of two days so you should only stay longer if it's clear that s/he wants you.

The Aurohost experience is meant to connect people in a meaningful way, widening our circles within the network of Auroville, Sri Aurobindo, and the Mother. To sign up for Aurohost, go to the website at aurohost.org
